Fishing licenses are not sold through the NCBT website. Visit the shop and we can issue your license at the counter. Eligible license items are also available through CDFW's official online service and other authorized agents.

Nonresident 365-day

For nonresidents age 16 or older. Valid for 365 days from the purchase date.
One-day

For residents or nonresidents on one specified day. No separate Ocean Enhancement Validation is required.
Two-day

For residents or nonresidents on two consecutive days. No separate Ocean Enhancement Validation is required.
Ten-day nonresident

For nonresidents fishing for ten consecutive days.
Common validations & report cards
Ocean Enhancement Validation
$7.30
Required for ocean fishing south of Point Arguello when a sport fishing license is otherwise required, except with a one- or two-day license.
Spiny Lobster Report Card
$12.70
Required for everyone taking spiny lobster, including anglers who do not otherwise need a sport fishing license.
Second Rod Validation
$20.26
Allows two rods or lines in eligible inland waters. It is not required for ocean fishing.
